manifestA platform launch

As part of our ongoing mission to foster meaningful dialogue related to equity in the built environment, manifestA invites the A-School to join us for the launch of our new website. In addition to serving as a platform for manifestA’s ongoing efforts, including our Equity Library and Digital Resources collection, this site will also host a new set of mapping-based research tools related to education of the built environment, which we have been developing in conjunction with faculty input from across the School. We are excited to share these developments, and this event will include a short presentation of progress on that work.
It is our hope that this new visualization tool and website will engage faculty, students, and staff to continue to contribute to our efforts as an organization and institution to address inequities in design education. An installation of this work--including an opportunity to engage with and add to our new platform--will be on display in the East Wing Gallery, the gallery space outside Campbell Hall room 153, between March 12th and April 9th, 2021. This tool will also live on the website where the A-School can continue to utilize and expand on this project. Please join us via Zoom at our launch event for more information as we begin to open up this dialog within the convergence of design, practice, scholarship, and education.
